CAN held interdenominational prayer for Oyo State, Nation

The Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, Oyo State Chapter held an interdenominational prayer, for the state and the nation at large at the Independence Arcade, Agodi Ibadan.

Prayers were said for the peace of the State especially for the successful administration of His Excellency, Governor Abiola Ajimobi.

In attendance at this event, were members of the Oyo State cabinet, led by His Excellency, Otunba Moses Adeyemo, the Deputy Governor of Oyo State, Rt Hon Micheal Adeyemo, Speaker Oyo State House of Assembly, Bishop TV Adelakun, Prophet Abiara, Baba Olowere, Apostle Sunday Popoola, CAN President, Pastor Akanmu with Evangelist Bola Are leading the congregation in praise and worship sessions

The clerics present at the event, prayed for the unity of the Nation, emphasizing that prayer is essential for Nation building.

The Deputy Governor who expressed profound gratitude to the clerics who turned up for the event, said that inspite of the fact that the Governor of Oyo State, Senator Abiola Ajimobi is a Muslim, he allows religious tolerance of all the religions in the state and he supports every religion in the State in order to allow for peaceful co-existence of residents in the state.

He said, with Hard work on the part of humans, prayers would solve the issues of mankind. He further encouraged the clerics in the state to continue praying for the peace, progress and peaceful coexistence of citizens in the State and Nation as a whole.
