Muslim Students across Kosofe Local Government, Ikosi-Isheri and Agboyi-Ketu LCDAs and more than 21 Schools within the areas are expected to gather in As Sidiq Schools, Agiliti, Mile 12, area of Lagos for the Muslim Students Society of Nigeria, Lagos State’s 20th Edition of Holiday Training Course, HTC.
The Three Area Councils of MSSN in Kosofe Local Government Area have lined up series of activities coinciding with the schools’ third term vacations for pupils and students in Primary and Secondary Schools.
The Four-day Holiday Training Course camp, themed, “The Inheritors”, is scheduled to hold between Friday 14th and Tuesday 18th July across Lagos State to train students as part of efforts at deepening the understanding and spirituality of Muslims students across the State.
According to their statements, the organisers indicate that activities lined up for this Holiday Training Course include Quranic, Hadith and Fiqh learning, lectures, vocational training, counselling, Book Review, health talks and sports among others.
The Chairman of Organising Committee, Mr AbdulHafeez Animashaun said the Divisional Police Officer, of the Nigerian Police Force, Ketu Division, Mile 12, has been notified about the Holiday Training Course and solicit that the force provides security to the area considering the security situation of the state.
He also said that the organisers are as confident about the security of the students and maintained that Commissioner of Police, Mr Fatai Owoseni has confirmed that all parts of Lagos State are secured except those at Ikorodu over ‘Badoo’ gang threat.
