Permanent Secretary lauds LTV, Printing Corporation

The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Information and Strategy, Mrs. Kofoworola Awobamise, has commended the Lagos Television and the Printing Corporation for their proactiveness in disseminating information on government programmes, policies and activities as well as for keeping the public abreast of events.

Awobamise, who gave the commendation during her inspection visit to agencies under the Ministry, remarked that despite challenges, LTV has distinguished itself as effective information organ that has continually educated and enlightened the public on government issues.
She commended the cordial relationship between the management and staff of LTV and urged them to sustain the relationship for effective service delivery.

She called for support and cooperation of management and staff toward achieving a Lagos of our dream, pointing out that the present administration will not relent on its effort to provide necessary environment and support for its public servants.

Earlier, LTV General Manager, Mrs, Funke Moore appreciated the Permanent Secretary for the visit, saying that it coincides with World Television Day.

She said that though confronted with some challenges, the current administration has supported the television station in no small measure through the provision of high-tech equipment, training and improved welfare package for staff.

Moore implored the Permanent Secretary to use her good office to advocate for the rebuilding of a modern day studio which would equally generate revenue for the government.

At the Lagos State Printing Corporation, the General Manager, Mr. Shakirudeen Odusanya also commended the effort of the Lagos State Government for changing the face of the printing corporation through the installation of high-tech modern printing machines to boost government printing activities.

He stressed the need for all government MDAs to patronize the corporation for the printing of their programmes and publications as this would boost the finances of the Corporation.

Responding, the Permanent Secretary commended the management and Staff of Lagos State Printing Corporation for good quality job.

“My familiarization visit to the Corporation is to seek for your support. I am happy to see Lagos State Printing Corporation with high-tech modern printing equipment and in a serene environment as those equipment are well managed,’’ she said.
