President Buhari Shows Up at Friday Prayer, dispels rumour of terminal illness

President Muhammadu Buhari shows up at the Friday prayer (Juma’at) at the State House Mosque today Friday. He was sighted in the company of his Chief of Staff Abba Kyari and National Security Adviser Babagana Monguno this afternoon at the mosque.

This is the first time that the president will be seen in public in the last fourteen days. It will be recalled that the President has missed the Federal Executive Meeting for three times consecutively. 

The reporter that observed the Friday prayer in the State House Mosque said the Buhari he saw was not as sick as many people thought and that he look physically fit enough for the job as earlier positioned by the Minister of Information. Though there are signs that he is recuperating and he need to take things easy, he submitted.

Buhari’s absence in the public and FEC Meetings has lead to speculation of serious illness. Though, his media team and the Minister for Information, Alhaji Lai Muhammed had dispelled that as rumour that does not represent the true picture of things. They have insisted that the President was only taking it easy as he had said public after his return from the medical vacation in London.

However, this public appearance has put to rest the speculation of terminal illness.
