World Autism Awareness Day: Access to Beneficial Autism Therapy across the World


Early intervention is important to help children with autism address language deficits, social delays, sensory sensitivities and other challenges. 

The United Nations General Assembly unanimously declared 2 April as World Autism Awareness Day (A/RES/62/139) to highlight the need to help improve the quality of life of those with autism so they can lead full and meaningful lives as an integral part of society.

The ninth annual World Autism Awareness Day is today April 2, 2017. Every year, autism organizations around the world celebrate the day with unique fundraising and awareness-raising events.
